About the role

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for applications enabling electronic trading capabilities
  • Gain deep expertise in the electronic trading domain, including brokerage operations
  • Act as the bridge between business and technology, representing development teams in stakeholder discussions
  • Analyze and communicate application architecture and source code to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Leverage GenAI tools to accelerate code understanding and documentation
  • Design and maintain architectural diagrams and system workflows
  • Perform data analysis using KDB/Q and SQL, interpreting large datasets to diagnose system behavior and performance
  • Lead system design efforts, translating business requirements into actionable technical specifications
  • Manage work breakdown (JIRA epics, stories) and coordinate with developers and QA teams
  • Facilitate cross-team discussions on technical initiatives and priorities
  • Conduct UAT using available testing tools and ensure quality delivery
  • Provide production and non-production support, responding to inquiries from business support teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst with project management responsibilities
  • Prior hands-on software development experience
  • Strong background in complex distributed systems, ideally trading platforms
  • Proficiency with SDLC tools (JIRA, Confluence, JIRA Align) and collaboration tools (Miro)
  • Skilled in creating architecture diagrams using Visio, Draw.io, or similar tools
  • Solid experience in data modeling, SQL, and working with large datasets
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, scripting, and command-line utilities
  • Knowledge of cloud architectures and deployments, especially AWS
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy)
  • Capital Markets or Brokerage systems experience is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of FIX protocol, FIX engines, and KDB+/Q is a strong plus
