Serve as a subject matter expert for applications enabling electronic trading capabilities
Gain deep expertise in the electronic trading domain, including brokerage operations
Act as the bridge between business and technology, representing development teams in stakeholder discussions
Analyze and communicate application architecture and source code to both technical and non-technical audiences
Leverage GenAI tools to accelerate code understanding and documentation
Design and maintain architectural diagrams and system workflows
Perform data analysis using KDB/Q and SQL, interpreting large datasets to diagnose system behavior and performance
Lead system design efforts, translating business requirements into actionable technical specifications
Manage work breakdown (JIRA epics, stories) and coordinate with developers and QA teams
Facilitate cross-team discussions on technical initiatives and priorities
Conduct UAT using available testing tools and ensure quality delivery
Provide production and non-production support, responding to inquiries from business support teams

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
8+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst with project management responsibilities
Prior hands-on software development experience
Strong background in complex distributed systems, ideally trading platforms
Proficiency with SDLC tools (JIRA, Confluence, JIRA Align) and collaboration tools (Miro)
Skilled in creating architecture diagrams using Visio, Draw.io, or similar tools
Solid experience in data modeling, SQL, and working with large datasets
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, scripting, and command-line utilities
Knowledge of cloud architectures and deployments, especially AWS
Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy)
Capital Markets or Brokerage systems experience is highly desirable
Knowledge of FIX protocol, FIX engines, and KDB+/Q is a strong plus
