About the role
- As a member of the team, the Principal Analyst leads initiatives with diverse scope and complexity, acting as the primary interface between end users, product management, and the systems organization.
- Our Analysts collaborate with business partners to assess complex business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- We work with business practitioners such as Portfolio Managers, Senior Management, and Attribution Analysts in defining analytical approaches to solving business requests.
- Finally, we support our team’s dedication to quality by crafting and implementing tests that address business needs and ensure the delivery of solutions to our end users.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems
- A minimum of five years of related experience in Financial Services with demonstrated understanding of investment instruments and financial markets experience preferred.
- Experience with asset management back-office operations, mutual fund accounting, multi-layered fund structures as well as working knowledge of derivatives, a plus.
- Must be able to analyze complex and ambiguous issues, recommending creative solutions with clear and concise presentations
- A self-starter and excellent team member who is independent, collaborative, and can work with minimum supervision
- Proven expertise in various business analysis methodologies and techniques, including data analysis, use case development, story writing, user acceptance testing, and product documentation.
- Affinity for data; where to get it, how to use it, what it means
- Ability to translate business requirements into well-defined key performance indicators
- A highly curious and motivated learner with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; Communicates clearly, concisely and impactfully to influence others
- Approaches work with an open mind and sense of creativity by challenging current practices and recommending improvements to mitigate risks and drive positive change
- Ability to navigate through ambiguous circumstances and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to keep pace, make progress and bring others along

- Able to understand the technology and software architecture of an application
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills especially in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
