About the role
- Lead complex, high-impact initiatives that modernize and streamline the Legal Department’s technology landscape.
- Collaborate with Legal stakeholders, technology partners, and external vendors.
- Take ownership of the project, make informed decisions, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
- Help define and implement the legal technology strategic roadmap.
- Ensure clear communication, alignment, and mutual understanding of goals and requirements.
- Translate complex legal and business requirements into clear guidance for technology teams.
- Partner with stakeholders to shape project vision and ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Create clear documentation, including process maps, test plans, and project deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 8+ years of experience leading cross-functional projects and managing vendors in a legal or business technology environment.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset, with a willingness to take on tasks outside of defined responsibilities to ensure successful project delivery.
- Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to identify inefficiencies, design scalable solutions, and translate business needs into clear requirements.
- Skilled in presenting data and insights in a meaningful way to support decision-making and drive initiatives forward, including experience leveraging Power BI.
- Document management experience with tools such as iManage, NetDocuments, or SharePoint is a plus.
- Experience with legal technology such as matter management systems, legal hold platforms, and AI-powered search tools is highly valued.
- Experienced in building strong stakeholder relationships, aligning expectations, and communicating effectively across legal, business, and technical teams.
- Comfortable working with technical teams and understanding how systems interact, without needing deep technical expertise.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and visual collaboration tools such as Miro, Mural, or Visio for process mapping and documentation.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect business goals to project roadmaps, prioritize work, and manage risks.
- Adaptable and resourceful in navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and fast-paced environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority and build trust across diverse teams.
