Manage the Indirect Tax Function, including the filing of all sales and use, GST, indirect tax credits, and property tax returns.
Maintain all tax systems for the compliance and indirect tax reporting function and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Analyze and interpret any new legislation and court decisions and proactively ensure that appropriate planning, compliance, and reporting actions are undertaken.
Manage sales tax audits and work with state tax authorities.
Assist in the development of systems and procedures that lead to process improvements.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred).
Some years of experience of sales/use taxation experience.
Strong knowledge of multi-state sales and use tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in tax compliance software and ER systems (Oracle, OneSource).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tax technology tools.
Demonstrates ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Demonstrates attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to complete work within established deadlines.
Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills.
