About the role
- Collaborate with service management resources to manage and prioritise project backlog.
- Work with architects to deliver and onboard a future vision (tooling, processes, design, etc.), such that it meets stakeholder requirements.
- Maintain and, where possible, assist in improvement of existing tooling, processes and designs to assist in meeting short term requirements, while aligning with longer term vision.
- Collaborate with stakeholder teams to successfully integrate into business processes and engineering (e.g. CI/CD pipelines) in a supportable and scalable manner.
- Assist in creating standards, policies, self-service automation, and general implementation of agreed designs.
- Mentor and guide team members on best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in the space, and more generally and ensure these are added to training regimes where applicable.
- Play a role in incident management escalations, utilizing tooling and processes to optimize troubleshooting capabilities, and to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure solutions comply with industry standards and security regulations, safeguarding data integrity and privacy.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge and experience in management of OS level management within a cloud environment, both engineering and operational.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within scope.
- Deep understanding of containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Understanding of logging, monitoring, tracing at the infrastructure layer in large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with real-time analytics platforms and handling streaming data.
- Experience in effective integration go AI into both project and daily activities.
- Experience with using technologies to drive scalability and building end to end autonomous scaling systems within infrastructure.
- Advanced experience working in an Cloud Environment.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.
- Understanding of security considerations, including data encryption and access controls.
