About the role
- Own the Platform Product Management function for FICO’s horizontal SaaS platform capabilities, driving innovation technology aligned with business goals and market trends.
- Lead the definition and prioritization of platform technology roadmaps to incorporate emerging industry-leading technologies such as advanced analytics, and automation within the regulatory framework of financial services (e.g., risk compliance, fraud detection and prevention, credit decisioning).
- Define the product strategy and own the roadmap building a foundation of trust, control, and platform-wide observability to ensure our systems are secure, compliant, and well-managed.
- Write detailed product requirements with clear acceptance criteria.
- Partner with engineering to ensure timely delivery of features and improvements.
- Drive organizational multi-tenancy architecture that supports complex hierarchy modeling ensuring secure access and data isolation across the platform.
- Drive the product roadmap for encryption, privacy, and governance capabilities, building tools that help our customers and our organization meet strict compliance and regulatory standards.
- Own the development of Policy Center, usage limits, and licensing capabilities, giving administrators the granular control they need to manage their environments effectively.
- Establish the requirements for platform-wide monitoring, metering, and audit trails to provide deep visibility into system health, usage, and user activity for both internal teams and customers.
- Translate complex security, governance, and non-functional requirements into actionable product features that are intuitive and scalable.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, product design, user experience, architecture, sales, marketing, legal, privacy & security, trust, and compliance teams to deliver solutions meeting industry standards and customer expectations.
- Build partnerships with financial institutions, regulators, ecosystem partners, and industry bodies to anticipate shifts and influence policies.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and customer needs to continuously refine and differentiate FICO’s platform offerings.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-impact platform product management team fostering innovation and customer obsession.
- Drive continuous improvement of product planning processes, leveraging data and customer insights for transparency and strategic alignment.
Requirements
- 10+ years product management or platform product management experience focused on security, infrastructure, or operational tools, preferably in financial services technology, risk management, or analytics platforms.
- Proven track record of defining and launching successful security products, platforms, or core services.
- Deep understanding of security principles, including identity and access management (IAM), PKI infrastructure, secrets management systems (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong technical background with the ability to engage in detailed conversations with engineers about system architecture, APIs, and non-functional requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence a diverse group of users from technical administrators to compliance officers.
- Success in driving SaaS platform incubation (zero to one product management mindset).
- Ability to translate market trends, regulatory changes, and technology advances into actionable product plans.
- Experience collaborating in matrixed, global organizations with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Experience developing platform product strategies for regulated industries and Knowledge of financial services regulations, compliance, and risk frameworks is desirable.
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or relevant experience; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
