Key responsibilities & impact

Project preparation of FTTX Networks from design through closeout
Design and implementation of OSP facilities
Quality Control FTTX and MDU Designs
Development of construction and cost estimates primarily for the outside plant
Ensure that all FTTH designs fall within predetermined parameters

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma and/or College Degree
5+ Years of experience in Outside Plant Engineering
Comprehensive understanding of FTTH network architectures
Strong knowledge of MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) design principles
Familiar with feeder and distribution routes, splicing requirements, fiber placement, and permitting considerations
Working knowledge of OSP Facilities Construction and application standards
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Good understanding of Right-Of-Way acquisitions and applicable laws
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Google Earth, QGIS, and AutoCAD
