About the role

  • Provide strategic technical leadership and ensure quality in programme interventions
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of programme interventions across four thematic areas
  • Apply global best practices to address learning poverty
  • Oversee research, evidence generation, and data use
  • Support ASEAN Member States in adopting and scaling cost-effective interventions
  • Ensure integration of EdTech and AI-enabled solutions
  • Build capacity of national and regional stakeholders through training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing platforms
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader to maintain programme coherence and manage risks

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Education, International Development, Public Policy, or related field
  • At least 12+ years of experience in technical leadership roles within large education programmes, preferably multi-country and FCDO-funded
  • Demonstrated expertise in foundational learning interventions, including Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL), structured pedagogy, and remedial education strategies
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based education reforms and experience translating research into policy and practice, including familiarity with SEA-PLM assessments
  • Familiarity with EdTech and AI applications for education improvement, including adaptive learning technologies and digital transformation strategies
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and capacity-building skills; fluency in English required.
