About the role
- Lead and direct implementation of the Activity to enhance global health priorities
- Fulfill diverse managerial requirements of the Activity and manage activities, personnel, and budget/spending
- Serve as the Activity's primary liaison with posts in country, local government, and global health security partners
- Lead the development and implementation of annual work plans, monitoring and evaluation activities
- Ensure compliance with policies and manage in-country relationships with government and partners
- Provide guidance and training to managers and staff
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience with project management principles and practices
- 5+ years of managing staff
- Comprehensive knowledge of theories, concepts and practices with project management, process development and execution
- Familiarity with international Global Health Security frameworks and initiatives preferred
- Excellent and demonstrated project management skills
- Strong influencing, negotiation, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills managing staff within a matrixed organization
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to plan, organize, and manage resources
- Bachelor's degree or its international equivalent in public health or other health-related fields; Master’s degree preferred
- Project management certification preferred
- Knowledge and experience working on the management and implementation of human health projects
- Proficiency in English language required; Fluency in Arabic preferred
