Mid-level Underwriter – Judicial Surety Insurance

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Underwrite judicial surety insurance risks in accordance with the Company's guidelines
- Service and negotiate with brokers
- Interact with commercial, credit, finance, legal and other internal teams
- Liaise with peers and other insurers to structure coinsurance arrangements
- Foster new business opportunities
- Manage the assigned portfolio – monitor accumulation and exposure of obligors and manage the pipeline
- Support leadership with analysis and preparation of reports
- Prepare opinions for placement of facultative risks
- Monitor and support the claims team when necessary
- Participate in meetings and roadshows with clients and brokers when required
- Analyze and review products and policy wordings in accordance with SUSEP rules and related legislation
- Review legal/case documentation to confirm feasibility of early cancellation when requested by the client
- Calculate and request premium refunds
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience underwriting judicial surety insurance
- Experience servicing brokers
- Good communication skills and proactivity
- Law degree
- Intermediate English (desired)
- Analytical skills and ability to design operational workflows and process controls (desired)
