About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Planning, preparation, and setup of tests for execution at internal facilities or external labs;
Evaluation of test results and documentation, generation of test reports;
Active role in creation of automated/semi-automated setups;
Qualification of cables, connectors (plugs and sockets) – power supply and data communication lines;
Execution and/or supervision of environmental tests (e.g. EMC, climatic, endurance, vibration, IP degree of protection);
Technical processing of customer complaints: investigations, reproduction of failure, root cause analysis, proposal of containment actions in collaboration with quality department;
Alignment with the test manager and the test analyst on test strategy, test plan, time schedule, and technical test details;
Collaboration in an interdisciplinary, international, and Agile team.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed studies in the field of Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics engineering or similar;
Good written and spoken English skills (B2 or higher), German language skills would be a plus.
Knowledge in electronics measurement equipment, electrical measurements and communication monitoring and logging;
Practical experience with automated test systems (for example - remote IO devices, electric motors/controllers);
Experience as a test engineer in the field of environmental testing;
Basic knowledge and practical experience with Industrial fieldbus protocols would be a plus;
Basic knowledge and practical experience working with ALM tools such as Codebeamer or Jira would be a plus.

Ability to work both independently and being part of a team;
Fast learner – flexible and adaptable;
Capable of making decisions and taking responsibility for the results in dynamic and changing environment.
