About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design solutions to business challenges by thoroughly evaluating business needs and translating them into effective technical blueprints for software.
Develop a deep understanding of Festo’s Pneumatic Automation product portfolio and its applications within factory automation.
Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on technical development.
Write, test, and maintain backend code, predominantly in Java, ensuring robust and scalable software solutions for the selection and simulation of our client's products and product combinations.
Support and collaborate with an agile team.
Coordinate and align requirements with business units and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in information technology
Practical experience coding backends with Java and Spring Boot
Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
Independent and structured way of working and holistic thinking
Good written and spoken English skills
Spanish language skills are valued but not required
Project experience with current frontend frameworks and technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, SASS, React.js and modern build tools NPM/Webpack is a nice plus!
