About the role
- Organize, plan and document maintenance, preventive servicing and fault remediation of building services systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitary and sprinkler systems
- Solicit, evaluate, negotiate and commission external quotations for repair, maintenance and new installations of building services equipment and components
- Conduct quality and performance checks and ensure suppliers and service providers meet deadlines
- Develop, evaluate, implement and document measures to improve energy efficiency for the building operation certified according to DIN ISO 50001
- Support construction management in the planning and execution of refurbishments and new builds for building services trades
- Create and update technical specifications for the installation of new systems
- Responsible supervision of contractors during refurbishment work including commissioning, acceptance according to VOB and handover to technical building operations
- Participate in rotating on-call duty to ensure system functionality at the sites in Esslingen and Ostfildern-Scharnhausen
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in heating, ventilation and air conditioning / building services engineering
- Further qualification as a certified technician (Techniker) or master craftsman (Meister) desirable
- Several years of professional experience in both the operation and renewal of HVAC systems as well as sanitary and sprinkler systems
- Experience implementing new building services installations and carrying out refurbishment works, particularly at the interface with cost group 300 according to DIN 276
- Basic knowledge of control and regulation technology as well as network technology is an advantage
- Willingness and suitability to undertake 24/7 on-call duty required
- Confident use of MS Office applications
- Good German language skills
- Independent and responsible working style, flexibility and high commitment as well as the ability to work in a team
