About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of internal controls
  • Establish and formalize accounting policies and procedures
  • Drive system and workflow enhancements
  • Own critical components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
  • Review complex journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses
  • Lead analytical reviews of financial results
  • Oversee accounting for large-scale capital projects
  • Partner with FP&A and Operations to strengthen project cost controls
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and audit support
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. in Accounting or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience preparing or reviewing full financial statements and supporting disclosures
  • Demonstrated experience designing, documenting, and improving internal controls
  • Proven ability to manage complex accounting areas independently
  • Experience supporting external audits
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Strong experience working within ERP systems
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
