About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- lead the medical interface with key access customers in a field-facing role
- generate improved access to Ferring’s product portfolio by interfacing with and presenting clinical, health economics, and health outcomes information to external health care access decision makers
- communicates scientific, clinical, health outcomes and pharmacoeconomic research information
- proactively engages with external scientific experts and health care access decision makers
- delivers current disease state literature, tailored scientific and pharmacoeconomic data, health policy changes and trends
- provides comprehensive, accurate, fair balanced, objective, and scientifically rigorous product and disease state information
- cultivates relationships with identified payer opinion leaders and payer influencers
- collaborates with payers and payer thought leaders on HEOR studies
- executes medical national regional account strategies and action plans for Ferring’s portfolio and pipeline
- engages in strong cross-functional teamwork with field-based and home office-based medical and commercial colleagues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctoral level degree, e.g. PharmD, PhD or MD required
- Concentration in health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, statistics, public health, public policy or a related academic discipline preferred
- 10 years of professional experience required in relevant field (i.e., HEOR, Medical Affairs, Managed Markets, Health Plan, Pharmacy Benefit or related experience)
- A minimum 2 years prior experience in a similar role is strongly preferred
- Prior experience in customer-facing roles preferred
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent analytic skills
- Strong attention to detail, proactive outlook, and the ability to follow assignments through to completion
- Adept at relating to all levels in a complex organization
- Ability to travel (up to 60%)
