About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and oversee a distributed team of Project Managers responsible for delivering municipal technology projects from contract award through project closeout.
- Establish and enforce standardized project management methodologies, governance, tools, and reporting to ensure predictable outcomes across all projects.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex project risks, customer issues, and cross‑functional challenges.
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with installation, integration, and construction subcontractors.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to support effective project handoffs, scope clarity, and customer communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a high‑performing project management organization.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8–10+ years of project or program management experience, including leadership of project management teams.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex, multi‑stakeholder projects—preferably within utilities, infrastructure, construction, or technology deployments.
- Strong understanding of contract management, subcontractor oversight, and financial performance drivers.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence without direct authority.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers, executive partners, and field teams.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% - 35%.
