About the role
- Greet and assist customers promptly and courteously at the sales counter.
- Provide detailed product information and recommendations based on customer needs.
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems, including cash handling and electronic payments.
- Manage inventory inquiries and coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure product availability and timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales counter and surrounding areas.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist in receiving and stocking merchandise as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and customer interactions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail or wholesale sales, preferably in a customer-facing role.
- Basic proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks such as lifting merchandise.
- Experience working in the wholesale trade industry.
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish and English.
- Customer service certification or related training.
- Knowledge of product lines relevant to the wholesale business.
