Manager, Last Mile Operations

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the daily operations of contract carriers
- Maintain contractor schedules and monitor routes
- Use route planning software to build efficient delivery routes
- Manage the dispatch of contract carriers and resolve issues throughout the day
- Identify problem areas and restructure routes to improve operational efficiencies
- Train and develop contract carriers and dispatchers
- Ensure compliance with corporate warehouse policies
- Supervise employees and address complaints/resolving problems
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 years related logistics and supervisory experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office such as Word, Outlook and Excel
- Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics or similar (preferred)
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including holidays, days, evenings, nights and weekends
- Experience mentoring, training and guiding newer/less-experienced team members
- Bilingual English/Spanish (read, write and speak both languages)
- Strong business acumen
