About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage all aspects of local sales to meet or exceed company goals for a Market's sales and profitability
  • Plan and direct the implementation of sales strategies and tactics aimed at sustained sales and margin growth
  • Lead, develop and drive the defined sales team to achieve above average sustainable profitable growth
  • Develop long-term sales strategies to improve market penetration and ensure future growth
  • Plan and decide on the optimal resource allocation in line with the Business Unit's strategies
  • Act as a key role model to the sales team
  • Define and promote a vision and mission for the sales force
  • Develop a winning sales strategy based on company business plans and objectives
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Establish close and effective relationships with major and target customers’ top management
  • Constantly review existing sales territories and develop customer opportunities
  • Manage the annual budgeting process ensuring all information is captured and agreed
  • Assess and evaluate information to identify and forecast market trends

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS in Business or related field; MBA a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years in sales or sales management, with at least five years in a supervisory role
  • Extensive knowledge of the snacking industry in retail, grocery, and wholesale clubs
  • Customer experience with Walmart & Sam’s Club
  • Ideal candidate has experience that includes collaboration in a virtual environment
  • Extensive knowledge of the food service industry and profit & loss management, planning, and analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation ability
  • High energy, creativity, leadership, and motivational skills
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
