About the role
- Oversee the execution and volunteer management of Hunger Projects
- Act as the point of contact on the day of the event
- Ensure a successful, engaging, and impactful event
- Opportunity to travel to and lead volunteer events
- Manage event set up, load-in and load-out, event logistics
- Manage on-site event staff and ensure events are following schedule
- Emcee the events which requires speaking in front of crowds
- Guide volunteers, partners, and staff on best practices
- Ensure positive interactions between partners and USH
- Manage the Event Team during projects and project-related travel
- Delegate responsibilities prior to, during, and after events
- Coordinate with project hosts to ensure efficient setup
- Ensure meals are picked up by partners or shipped back to USH warehouses
- Fully complete Post Event Action Reports for all attended projects
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in event management, operations, or a client-engaging role
- Extremely attentive to detail, accurate, and thorough in all communication
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
- Comfortable and confident speaking in front of a crowd
- Enthusiastic, strong interpersonal skills, and positive attitude
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large groups of people
- Must have a valid driver’s license in order to transport product in a sprinter van
- Must be available to travel (up to 75% of time)
