About the role

  • Oversee the execution and volunteer management of Hunger Projects
  • Act as the point of contact on the day of the event
  • Ensure a successful, engaging, and impactful event
  • Opportunity to travel to and lead volunteer events
  • Manage event set up, load-in and load-out, event logistics
  • Manage on-site event staff and ensure events are following schedule
  • Emcee the events which requires speaking in front of crowds
  • Guide volunteers, partners, and staff on best practices
  • Ensure positive interactions between partners and USH
  • Manage the Event Team during projects and project-related travel
  • Delegate responsibilities prior to, during, and after events
  • Coordinate with project hosts to ensure efficient setup
  • Ensure meals are picked up by partners or shipped back to USH warehouses
  • Fully complete Post Event Action Reports for all attended projects

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in event management, operations, or a client-engaging role
  • Extremely attentive to detail, accurate, and thorough in all communication
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Comfortable and confident speaking in front of a crowd
  • Enthusiastic, strong interpersonal skills, and positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large groups of people
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in order to transport product in a sprinter van
  • Must be available to travel (up to 75% of time)
