About the role
- Oversee the execution and volunteer management of our Hunger Projects with various corporations, schools, congregations, and organizations across the United States
- Serve as the point of contact on the day of the event
- Ensure a successful, engaging, and impactful event for partners and volunteers
- Travel to and lead volunteer events varying in size and scope
- Manage event set up, load-in and load-out, event logistics, and on-site event staff
- Emcee events and guide volunteers, partners, and staff on best practices
- Ensure positive interactions between partners and USH
- Communicate with MD partner contacts and update information in the system
- Fully complete Post Event Action Reports for all attended projects
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in event management, operations, or a client-engaging role
- Extremely attentive to detail, accurate, and thorough in all communication
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
- Comfortable and confident speaking in front of a crowd
- Enthusiastic, strong interpersonal skills, and positive attitude
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large groups of people
- Must have a valid driver’s license in order to transport product in a sprinter van
- Must be available to travel (up to 75% of time)
