About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with the Medical and Scientific Services team to:
  • Develop strategies and service lines to support medical communications and scientific exchange with Key Opinion Leaders and HCPs.
  • Plan and lead presentations and meetings with all prospective clients and complete any RFPs and proposals; lead follow up to close business
  • Support current clients and identify new clients in this field, leveraging knowledge of Medical Affairs and field-deployed scientific liaisons (MSLs/CSLs/TLLs etc.)
  • Build mutually beneficial business relationships with clients in order to optimize growth and client satisfaction
  • Actively lead and provide strategic support and guidance to all teams as relevant
  • Guide the overall cadence of the medical and scientific team to drive OHMC forward
  • Manage client relationships in coordination with internal teams
  • Supervise members of scientific team on existing and new business opportunities
  • Represent the broader medical team and serve as subject matter expert in areas of your experience, including development and delivery of proposals/pitches and strategy into program execution
  • Remain abreast of new industry/healthcare directions and trends to identify opportunities and challenges for clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Medical Communications agency setting
  • Ability to quickly understand scientific landscape in different therapeutic areas
  • Significant experience consulting and communicating with healthcare professionals
  • Experience engaging and building relationships with key opinion leaders
  • Ability to tailor communications to various stakeholders in the medical community
  • Experience across multiple therapeutic areas is preferred
  • Strong desire to drive strategic development and work in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business strategies relevant to Medical Affairs
  • Ability to present ideas in an articulate, dynamic, and professional manner
  • Experience launching new drugs (particularly novel product/new MOA) highly-preferred
