About the role
- Champion the direct sales effort in assigned territory
- Generate direct sales and develop customers within specified territory
- Meet new business unit volume objectives
- Achieve product certification as required
- Train customers and other personnel in the company's product line
- Attend Right Start training events quarterly
- Attend sales meetings as needed
- Attend, coordinate and participate in regional and national trade shows
- Recommend new product changes as well as other new product ideas
- Maintain up-to-date CRM logging, daily contacts, account contact and asset information, and sales opportunities
- Supply monthly and rolling 90-day New Business forecast based on customer interaction and CRM data
- Track customer presentations, demonstrations, and training events in CRM monthly
- Submit expense report on a timely basis
- Assist with development of competitive manufacturer's profiles and report their activity to product management
- Ensure that all business conducted in the region is consistent with the company's mission statement and standard policies and procedures (SPP)
- Complete other assignments as required
Requirements
- 3+ years of sales experience
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Effective communication style is required
- High degree of motivation and initiative required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
