About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and maintain the product roadmap for secure automation across network environments.
- Identify and translate operational challenges into measurable automation initiatives.
- Establish and track KPIs such as automation coverage, change success rate, compliance adherence, and MTTR improvements.
- Partner with network engineering, security, and compliance teams to design automation workflows that meet stringent governance and audit standards.
- Ensure automation designs align with change-control processes, rollback requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Oversee the development and evolution of network-as-code, intent-based networking, and policy-driven automation platforms.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, security partners, and risk stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical design, compliance expectations, and implementation priorities.
- Champion a culture of safe experimentation, enabling teams to validate automation in sandbox environments before production rollout.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6 to 9+ years of relevant experience for Senior Product Manager candidates
- 10+ years of relevant experience for Advanced Product Manager candidates
- Proven background in network engineering, including routing, switching, firewalls, segmentation, VPN services, and software-defined networking.
- Hands-on expertise with automation frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
- Strong understanding of zero-trust architecture, secure API access, credential vaulting, and related security patterns.
- Familiarity with industry security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, CMMC, and ISO 27001.
- Experience working in regulated or high-security environments (e.g., finance, defense, healthcare, government).
- Demonstrated experience owning a product roadmap and driving technical initiatives from concept through delivery.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across engineering, security, compliance, and leadership teams.
