About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leverage your expertise in credit analysis and lending practices to support thorough, objective loan reviews that help manage risk and ensure sound decision-making
  • Conduct detailed file and loan assessments to ensure consistency with established policies, procedures, and risk guidelines
  • Evaluate the accuracy and integrity of information, identify opportunities for improvement, and help strengthen lending practices
  • Conduct file reviews and loan assessments to evaluate credit risk and adherence to policies
  • Assess the quality, accuracy and integrity of information to support sound credit decision-making
  • Develop conclusions and recommendations and share findings with senior leaders
  • Identify opportunities to enhance credit policy guidelines and processes
  • Collaborate with business units such as Credit Risk Management, Credit Policy, Portfolio Management and Operations
  • Respond to inquiries and provide information related to loan review activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in agricultural finance, business, commerce or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of lending experience, including small commercial lending or equivalent
  • Knowledge of agricultural and commercial lending practices and risk mitigation strategies
  • Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a changing environment
  • Working knowledge of software applications and computer proficiency
  • Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in both official languages (English and French) needed
