About the role
- Owning the end-to-end system architecture of the DERICON platform, including microservices, data flows, dependencies, and failure modes across the full ecosystem.
- Ensuring regulatory readiness as a deliverable, translating BAIT/DORA/BaFin expectations into technical controls, evidence/documentation, audit support, and measurable security & resilience outcomes while evolving the module-by-feature architecture.
- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary technology organisation, providing clear direction, prioritisation, and technical guidance.
- Hiring and onboarding key engineers, shaping role profiles, running interviews, and ensuring sustainable knowledge transfer.
- Owning production operations end-to-end, including incident & problem management, monitoring/alerting, on call/escalations, post-mortems, and continuous reliability improvements across AWS and CI/CD.
- Owning release & change management, including rollout/rollback strategy, production readiness checks, and controlled change in a regulated environment.
- Providing crisp decision proposals (risk, cost, timeline, compliance impact) to business/compliance stakeholders, and leading technical escalations with senior leadership and auditors when required.
- Steering complex, multiphase projects while balancing risk, regulatory obligations, cost, and delivery timelines.
Requirements
- You bring proven experience designing and owning end-to-end system architectures within complex microservice environments.
- Proven experience running systems in production (not just building them): incident leadership, reliability improvements, and operational ownership in a microservice ecosystem.
- You have strong hands-on expertise in AWS-based cloud infrastructure, including security, service provisioning, and CI/CD and DevOps tooling.
- You have led multidisciplinary engineering teams, combining technical leadership with coaching, prioritisation, and roadmap alignment.
- You are experienced in working within regulated environments and designing technically sound solutions aligned with frameworks such as BaFin, BAIT, or DORA.
- You communicate complex technical topics clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership and auditors.
Benefits
- Enjoy 30 days of annual leave plus half-days on December 24th and 31st.
- Access leave for special occasions, including weddings, bereavements, moving, and family emergencies.
- Benefit from summer, marriage, and Christmas bonuses along with an anniversary bonus.
- Secure peace of mind with group accident insurance.
- Take advantage of versatile/hybrid working and extra leave for professional development (Bildungsurlaub), along with a sabbatical option.
- Utilize full access to Cashcalc and FE Analytics, and access LinkedIn Learning.
- Participate in our Community Day initiative.
