About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead team workload planning and performance, optimizing workflows and driving process improvements
- Oversee claim operations, including reserve approvals, settlements, and compliance with authority guidelines
- Direct litigation strategy and manage defense counsel to ensure effective, cost-conscious claim resolution
- Analyze claim trends and performance data to inform decisions and support business objectives
- Resolve complex claim, coverage, and service issues while ensuring strong stakeholder relationships and regulatory compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- AIC, CCLA, SCLA designations, or equivalent course work or experience
- Six years of recent, relevant, progressively responsible complex claims adjusting experience, emphasis on high exposure bodily injury claims and litigation
- Two years in a leadership role with ability to effectively lead Major Case Unit
- Current, active adjusters license in assigned jurisdiction
- Advanced knowledge of insurance claim procedures, rules, systems, and regulations
- Advanced knowledge of claim file management techniques and processes
- Advanced knowledge of the judicial and legal systems
- Knowledge of Construction Defect claims' coverage and defense issues
