About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Guidewire Developer is responsible for the analysis, development, configuration, and support of Guidewire applications within a cloud-based environment, with a strong emphasis on integrations.
- This role partners closely with business and technical teams to design, develop, configure, and maintain solutions within Guidewire BillingCenter.
- Responsibilities include configuring core BillingCenter components, such as the product model, workflows, and business rules, as well as building and supporting integrations using Guidewire Integration Gateway, REST APIs, and Gosu.
- The developer will analyze detailed business and technical requirements, troubleshoot production issues, and implement enhancements that improve system reliability, scalability, and performance.
- This role also supports the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance, while leveraging database technologies such as SQL and Oracle.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field; relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of education.
- Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter Cloud.
- MUST be Guidewire certified (Configuration and/or Integration certifications required).
- Minimum three years of IT programming and system design experience, building integrated solutions.
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and supporting integrations using REST APIs and web services, including both existing and custom APIs.
- First-hand experience building and consuming APIs, including request/response handling, authentication, and error handling.
- Strong experience with system integrations, middleware, and API-driven architectures in enterprise environments.
- Solid working knowledge of operating systems, databases, tools, and programming languages commonly used in enterprise environments.
- Experience developing, designing, cleansing, managing, and analyzing data and data flows from multiple sources.
- Ability to provide detailed source-to-target mapping, data transformation rules, and technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining ETL processes and workflows across multiple environments, including Windows, Oracle, SQL Server, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience integrating with third-party systems such as Vertafore ImageRight, SmartCOMM, InvoiceCloud, etc.
