About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain scalable, resilient RESTful APIs in Ruby on Rails
Participate in the entire development lifecycle: architecture, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and production monitoring
Work on evolving the core (monolith) and on microservices initiatives and integrations with partners, such as ERPs, payment gateways and external platforms
Ensure technical quality through code reviews, Clean Code practices, SOLID principles, and team standards
Monitor and optimize performance using APM, resource tuning, and query analysis and improvement
Work in multidisciplinary squads in an agile model (Scrum/Kanban), collaborating with engineering and product
Navigate between contexts involving TypeScript and mobile teams and workflows, maintaining a system-level perspective
Operate autonomously, taking responsibility for developing, testing, ensuring, and sustaining quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven senior-level experience with Ruby on Rails
Strong knowledge of REST APIs (design, documentation and consumption)
Solid experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling
Experience with Git/GitHub
Strong familiarity with automated testing such as RSpec, including unit, integration and black-box tests
Experience with Cloud (AWS)
Ownership mindset: autonomy, proactivity and focus on delivering value with technical responsibility
Nice to have: Microservices architecture and messaging (AWS SNS/SQS)
Nice to have: Docker and Kubernetes
Nice to have: NoSQL databases and caches/queues such as Redis, DocumentDB, DynamoDB
Nice to have: Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Argo CD
Spanish not required, considered a plus
