About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate the firewall request pipeline using the AlgoSec platform;
Analyze, validate and track requests to create, modify, and remove firewall rules;
Support the security policy review and governance process;
Perform basic troubleshooting and provide operational support for security solutions;
Monitor approval workflows, compliance, and change documentation;
Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and security teams, as well as vendors;
Assist in monitoring and handling incidents related to connectivity and security;
Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, procedures, and records;
Support audits and compliance processes related to security rules;
Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes and automation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Technical or university education (in progress or completed) in Networking, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields;
Basic to intermediate knowledge of:
TCP/IP networking;
Firewalls and security policies;
Information security concepts;
Protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSH, and VPN;
Experience or familiarity with firewall operations and access control;
Strong analytical skills and organizational ability;
Ability to work well in a team and engage with customers/clients;
Good verbal and written communication skills.
