About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and architect scalable, high-performance RESTful APIs using .NET, following SOLID principles and design patterns
Design and optimize database schemas in PostgreSQL, ensuring performance and data integrity
Architect solutions on AWS using EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFront and other relevant services
Design and implement critical workflows using n8n to automate complex business processes
Architect messaging solutions with RabbitMQ to ensure reliable communication between services
Containerize applications with Docker, ensuring consistency across development, testing and production
Implement comprehensive unit test coverage with Stryker.NET for mutation analysis and quality assurance
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality standards and knowledge sharing
Work in a Scrum environment, participating in planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and sprints
Mentor mid-level and junior developers, disseminating architecture, patterns and best practices
Collaborate with architects, product managers and stakeholders for technical and business alignment
Identify and resolve performance, scalability and security bottlenecks

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 6–8 years of backend development experience
Strong experience with .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, LINQ, Entity Framework or similar)
Advanced knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL, including query and index optimization
Experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFront and other relevant services)
Experience with Docker and containerization
Mastery of design principles (SOLID, Design Patterns, Clean Code, Clean Architecture)
Experience with RabbitMQ or other messaging solutions
Experience designing and implementing complex RESTful APIs
Experience with unit testing (xUnit, NUnit) and integration testing
Proficiency with Git and good version control practices
Proven experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Ability to architect scalable, high-performance, highly available solutions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong portfolio or GitHub repository showcasing high-complexity backend projects
