About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate the firewall request workflow using the AlgoSec platform;
Analyze, validate, and monitor requests to create, modify, or remove firewall rules;
Support the review and governance process for security policies;
Perform basic troubleshooting and provide operational support for security solutions;
Track approval workflows, compliance, and change documentation;
Interact with network, infrastructure, and security teams, as well as vendors;
Assist in monitoring and handling incidents related to connectivity and security;
Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, procedures, and records;
Support audits and compliance processes related to security rules;
Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and automations.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Technical or higher education (in progress or completed) in Networks, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields;
Basic to intermediate knowledge of:
TCP/IP networking;
Firewalls and security policies;
Information security concepts;
Protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSH, and VPN;
Experience or familiarity with firewall operation and access control;
Strong analytical skills and organizational ability;
Comfortable working in a team and providing customer support;
Good verbal and written communication skills.
