About the role

  • Map existing assets and configuration items (CIs) in the environment, ensuring correct categorization (hardware, software, services, systems, etc.)
  • Design and implement the CMDB data model in Jira Service Management
  • Establish governance processes for CMDB maintenance
  • Create and maintain the Configuration Management Plan
  • Discuss requirements for integrating the CMDB with other tools
  • Participate in and perform impact analysis for changes (RFCs)
  • Generate reports and dashboards on CMDB integrity, coverage, and usage
  • Support audits and compliance activities
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory policies (e.g., LGPD, ISO 27001)
  • Create dashboards and KPIs to evaluate CMDB maturity
  • Propose continuous improvements based on feedback and performance indicators

Requirements

  • Experience with ITSM, especially Jira (desirable experience configuring custom field schemes, workflows, automations, and integrations with discovery and monitoring tools)
  • Deep knowledge of ITIL, with focus on:
  • Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM)
  • Change Management
  • Incident & Problem Management
  • Experience with complex CMDBs
  • Familiarity with automated discovery tools
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases (SQL)
  • Ability to map services, applications, and their technical dependencies
  • Desirable experience handling requests from external auditors, particularly related to IT governance audits such as SOX and other regulatory requirements
