About the role

  • Design, develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation and delivery pipelines.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity and security throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders to enable data-driven solutions.
  • Define data engineering standards and best practices across the organization.
  • Optimize query performance and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Implement data governance and data cataloging solutions.
  • Monitor and resolve incidents related to data flows and infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the enterprise data architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
  • Solid experience in data architecture, modeling and large-scale data integration.
  • Proficiency in data-focused programming languages (Python, Scala, Java).
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Experience with Big Data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
  • Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managed data services (Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks).
  • Ability to build robust, scalable data pipelines.
  • Experience with version control, CI/CD and DevOps practices applied to data.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, Google Professional Data Engineer) are a plus.
  • Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Luigi).
  • Knowledge of Data Mesh and modern data architectures.
  • Experience with Machine Learning projects and MLOps.
  • Experience in high-volume, low-latency environments (real-time streaming).
  • Prior experience at large organizations or on international projects.
