About the role

  • Design and evolve Java-based backend systems with a focus on distributed, scalable architecture
  • Develop and maintain microservices and event-driven solutions, ensuring decoupling and resilience
  • Actively participate in system design decisions, evaluating technical trade-offs and product impact
  • Design and evolve REST APIs and asynchronous integrations
  • Implement and maintain observability practices (logs, metrics, and traces) to ensure reliability and rapid issue detection
  • Support scalability strategies, such as horizontal pod scaling and basic infrastructure tuning
  • Collaborate with product, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams, maintaining clear and collaborative communication
  • Contribute to engineering best practices, code reviews, and continuous platform improvement

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
  • Knowledge of distributed system design and microservices architecture
  • Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., messaging, asynchronous events)
  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
  • Familiarity with observability, including logs, metrics, and application monitoring
  • Practical understanding of scalability, such as service/pod scaling and basic infrastructure tuning
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills (soft skills)
  • Product-oriented mindset, understanding technical impact on business rules and user experience
