About the role
- Work on the design and evolution of backend systems based on Java, considering distributed and scalable architectures
- Develop and maintain microservices and event-driven solutions, ensuring decoupling and resilience
- Actively participate in system design decisions, evaluating technical trade-offs and product impact
- Create and evolve REST APIs and asynchronous integrations
- Implement and maintain observability practices (logs, metrics and traces) to ensure reliability and rapid issue identification
- Support scalability strategies, such as horizontal scaling of pods and infrastructure adjustments
- Collaborate closely with product, frontend, QA and DevOps teams, maintaining clear and cooperative communication
Requirements
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Knowledge of distributed systems design and microservices architecture
- Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., messaging, asynchronous events)
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
- Knowledge of observability, including logs, metrics and application monitoring
- Practical understanding of scalability, such as scaling services/pods and basic infrastructure tuning
- Good communication, collaboration and teamwork skills (soft skills)
- Product-oriented mindset, understanding the technical impact on business rules and user experience
