About the role

  • Offline CNC programming for 3-5 axis mills. 2D and 3D surface milling is required.
  • Offline CNC programming for Lathes.
  • Support shop floor setups and knowledge transfer.
  • Create documentation for the shop floor including tooling lists and setup sheets.
  • Document standard machining and CNC setup practices.
  • Design work-holding fixtures.
  • Translate CAD files.
  • Monitor and inspect parts throughout the process.
  • Maintain clean and safe working environment.
  • Observe MCT quality and safety procedures.
  • May provide training to other team members.
  • Communicates and collaborates with team members in the sharing of information and solving technical issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education (GED) required.
  • Demonstrated ability to program using CAD/CAM software, Vero SURFCAM or Autodesk Powermill experience is preferred.
  • The ability to read blueprints and execute shop math.
  • Complete work in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as required.
  • Proficient understanding of G-code.
  • Proficient understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and high attention to detail.
  • Flexible, ability to work in a fast-pace team environment.
  • Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
  • Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
  • Must read and write English.
  • Associate degree in a relevant field and/or other technical certification or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • 2-5 years minimum experience in Robot CNC programming (preferred).
  • Ability to program mill-turn or live spindle lathes (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Vector mathematics (preferred).
  • Ability to edit and create CAM Post Processors (preferred).
