About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Working within agile software development teams, lead design and development of product features for payment processing, subscription billing, and reporting platforms
Lead integrations with external platforms
Ensure a robust software delivery process
Debug and troubleshoot complex issues
Reduce time to market by decomposing large feature requirements
Participate in design and code review
Mentor junior members of the development team
Manage software issues through tickets
Lead the adoption of best practices for coding standards
Work with other team members to incorporate business and regulatory requirements into product solutions
Flexible hours to work with local and remote team members
Respond to production issues and apply continuous improvement techniques.

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of software development experience delivering commercial SaaS solutions using Java
Experience in the Payments industry and/or integrating with a third-party payment API is a plus
Passionate problem solver with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions
4+ years of experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL storage
3+ years of experience implementing RESTful service-oriented architectures with public APIs
HTML / CSS / JavaScript / Angular experience; Vue a plus
Unit testing, mocking, and automation experience
3+ years experience with Amazon Web Services, including EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB; experience with Lambda is a plus
Experience with Linux; experience with containers & Docker is a plus
Comfortable using AI-assisted development tooling
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
