About the role

  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team of Datacenter Engineers
  • Provide leadership and strategic guidance across day-to-day datacenter operations
  • Own team execution and operational readiness
  • Oversee tooling, documentation, and process rigor
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
  • Partner closely with Capacity Planning, Procurement, and other teams
  • Provide strategic oversight and accountability for network connectivity
  • Drive adoption of automation to reduce manual effort
  • Partner with Engineering to automate hardware validation and testing
  • Own the end-to-end circuit lifecycle

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct involvement in supporting datacenter operations
  • 3+ years leading a remote-friendly engineering or operations team
  • Expert-level knowledge of power and network cabling standards
  • Strong expertise with BGP configuration, routing policy design, and managing live WAN/CDN circuits
  • Expertise with hardware from HPE, Dell, Arista, and Cisco
  • Experience with infrastructure validation and network connectivity
  • Experience with the JIRA issue tracking system
  • Able to read and write English installation documentation
  • Knowledge of safe working practices
  • Able to work days/nights/weekends/holidays, if needed
  • Able to travel up to 15% of the time
