About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team of Datacenter Engineers
Provide leadership and strategic guidance across day-to-day datacenter operations
Own team execution and operational readiness
Oversee tooling, documentation, and process rigor
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
Partner closely with Capacity Planning, Procurement, and other teams
Provide strategic oversight and accountability for network connectivity
Drive adoption of automation to reduce manual effort
Partner with Engineering to automate hardware validation and testing
Own the end-to-end circuit lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of direct involvement in supporting datacenter operations
3+ years leading a remote-friendly engineering or operations team
Expert-level knowledge of power and network cabling standards
Strong expertise with BGP configuration, routing policy design, and managing live WAN/CDN circuits
Expertise with hardware from HPE, Dell, Arista, and Cisco
Experience with infrastructure validation and network connectivity
Experience with the JIRA issue tracking system
Able to read and write English installation documentation
Knowledge of safe working practices
Able to work days/nights/weekends/holidays, if needed
Able to travel up to 15% of the time
An innate curiosity and inquisitiveness
