About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with the agreed scope of services.
- Oversee and manage clients' full financial accounting closing process.
- Monitor financial reporting systems and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
- Review and approve team members' work prior to finalisation and submission to the Senior Manager, Director, or clients.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
- Ensure best practices in corporate governance and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage a portfolio of clients and maintain strong working relationships.
- Achieve the Group's budget targets.
- Identify opportunities for additional scope of work and potential fee increases.
- Support cross-selling initiatives across the Group's service offerings.
- Proactively seek client feedback and communicate insights to management and internal teams.
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and client retention.
- Plan client engagements to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely service delivery.
- Report regularly to the Senior Manager and Director on client matters and operational updates.
- Coordinate with internal teams and other business divisions to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Ensure timely billing, including out-of-pocket expenses (OPEs), and follow up on outstanding collections.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of client and internal records.
- Identify potential risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Requirements
What you’ll need- Professional accounting qualification such as MIA, ACCA, CPA Australia, or currently pursuing a recognised professional qualification.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Prior supervisory experience managing at least 2 team members.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, corporate governance, and statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Mandarin language proficiency is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients.
