About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Development and ongoing enhancement of WordPress websites, themes, and custom plugins
Technical planning and implementation of customer-specific requirements
Analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of existing websites
Setup, configuration, and management of hosting environments (e.g., servers, domains, SSL)
Integration and connection of third-party systems and APIs
Implementation of responsive and user-friendly frontends

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience (at least 2–3 years) in WordPress development
Strong knowledge of PHP, and proficient handling of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins
Experience working with MySQL databases
Experience working with hosting environments, domains, and web servers
Familiarity with version control systems is a plus
Understanding of performance optimization, security, and maintenance for WordPress websites
Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
Team player with good communication skills
Good German and English language skills
