About the role

  • Responsible for ensuring the strategic supply of imported inputs, products and materials, conducting foreign trade operations with a focus on efficiency, compliance and cost optimization.
  • Acts as the technical reference in the area, leading continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with FQM's regulatory and quality standards.
  • Manage end-to-end import and export processes, from supplier negotiation through customs clearance.
  • Execute international quotations, logistics feasibility analyses and contract negotiations with suppliers and external agents.
  • Prepare and review foreign trade documents (invoices, packing lists, certificates, contracts), ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct strategic meetings with international suppliers to align timelines, quality and commercial terms.
  • Monitor and control payments of taxes, fees and cash disbursements, ensuring the fiscal and documentary regularity of operations.
  • Source and qualify new international suppliers, conducting tests and technical analyses of inputs and products.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in customs and regulatory legislation, proposing adjustments to internal processes.
  • Serve as a technical support contact for internal teams, providing analyses and solutions on foreign trade matters.
  • Use ERP systems (SAP PWCE) and government platforms (SISCOMEX, Radar) to manage operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, Business Administration, International Relations or related fields.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in SAP PWCE and foreign trade systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Incoterms, special customs regimes, tariff/classification and international logistics.
  • Advanced English (fluent for negotiations and reading technical documents) and intermediate Spanish is desirable.
  • Experience in import/export operations, with previous work in medium- or large-sized companies.
