About the role
- Owns and manages assigned portfolio driving profitable growth to achieve financial and operational targets.
- Prospects and appoints new Foremost Independent Agencies and develops agency partnerships.
- Develops and executes territory tactical plans and agency management processes (business planning, training, compensation).
- Acts as primary relationship between agency and company; serves as trusted advisor delivering product, underwriting philosophy, appetite, and system training.
- Creates, maintains, and executes agency strategies to achieve written premium, profit, and new business goals.
- Collaborates with field distribution partners on carrier consolidation, storefront expansion, and new product rollout support.
- Drives quality of new business flow, appropriate mix of business, and overall risk management across portfolio.
- Utilizes internal reporting, Marketing and Development programs, and production/profitability data and analysis.
- Serves as resource to internal partners (underwriting, product management, claims, service ops) to identify opportunities and solve problems.
- Mentors or coaches less experienced team members and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- State insurance license preferred upon hire.
- Minimum five years of experience required in insurance distribution.
- Experience achieving profitable premium growth and sales success.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- May require regular travel between Farmers offices, alternative work locations, and/or field locations.
- Must meet employment eligibility under 18 U.S.C. Section 1033 restrictions (no felony involving dishonesty) where applicable.
