About the role
- Maintain and maximize profitable relationships with personal lines clients
- Grow the book of business through new client sales
- Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with clients
- Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects
- Anticipate and respond to all existing client needs
- Actively prospect and solicit increases in existing client coverage
- Present policies to the insured and educate them on coverages and rates
- Monitor and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved
- Collaborate with team members and mentor staff
- Keep informed regarding industry information and technology
Requirements
- Hold the insurance license required by your state
- Minimum of two years of personal and commercial lines insurance account management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a source of reliable transportation
- Strong knowledge of insurance products and usages
- Proficiency in rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations
- Proven track record of business-to-business sales success
- Strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Technology and Computer proficiency including agency management systems.
