About the role

  • Maintain and maximize profitable relationships with personal lines clients
  • Grow the book of business through new client sales
  • Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with clients
  • Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects
  • Anticipate and respond to all existing client needs
  • Actively prospect and solicit increases in existing client coverage
  • Present policies to the insured and educate them on coverages and rates
  • Monitor and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved
  • Collaborate with team members and mentor staff
  • Keep informed regarding industry information and technology

Requirements

  • Hold the insurance license required by your state
  • Minimum of two years of personal and commercial lines insurance account management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a source of reliable transportation
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and usages
  • Proficiency in rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations
  • Proven track record of business-to-business sales success
  • Strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Technology and Computer proficiency including agency management systems.
