About the role

  • Manage and enhance personal lines product performance in assigned region by leveraging insights across internal and external sources
  • Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product results
  • Analyze internal and external data to understand profit, production, competitive position, and market trends
  • Responsible for profits/losses in assigned product/territory and develop long- and short-term plans with State Executives
  • Leverage market research to identify growth opportunities within the assigned product/territory
  • Lead and manage others and take leadership role in special projects as assigned by State Manager
  • Work with underwriting team to adjust appetite to improve performance, profitability, and agent experience
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Analytics, Actuarial, IT, and Claims to understand profitability, market opportunities and potential system changes
  • Train and develop product analysts
  • Coordinate state and home office legislative and regulatory affairs providing input on key bills and regulation

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, specifically in a mathematical or statistical field
  • Six years of related experience in insurance Product Management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to secure 'buy-in' and convince others regarding best approach
  • Goal oriented team player with a positive attitude
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to train and develop product analysts
  • Must comply with 18 U.S.C. Section 1033 restrictions (no employment for certain felony convictions without state Department of Insurance consent)
