Software Engineer

• Design, develop, test, and deploy system functionality as an Agile Dev Team Member
• Provide guidance, mentorship and training to junior Agile team members
• Break down features, write and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Execute Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) to build in quality
• Perform impact assessments across people, processes and technology; identify and raise issues and risks
• Support implementation activities, troubleshoot user/system environmental issues and training
• Support Lean business case development and break epics into features
• Work with Product Owner to ensure code and acceptance tests reflect desired functionality
• Code programs/components, configure packaged software, deliver working code each sprint
• Review and validate technical design and ensure architectural soundness and code quality
• Analyze systems to improve efficiency, research and develop automation techniques, and document implementations
• Analyze backup, security, restart/recovery and balancing controls and recommend approaches
• Analyze and document requirements and approaches to data conversion and data modeling
• Develop, document, execute and maintain test cases and test data; identify complex errors and perform root cause analysis
• Report test status via defect logs and tracking systems; conduct audits to ensure adherence to standards
• Define advanced test plans and contribute to overall test strategy; write test cases to facilitate automation
• Participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning, Sprint Planning, System Demos, Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement
