About the role
- Lead a team of data scientists dedicated to pricing models within Business Insurance
- Define scope, establish measures of success, and apply a data science vision
- Execute projects independently, managing prescribed and ambiguous timelines with urgency
- Mentor, coach, and train less experienced team members
- Manage multiple phases from ideation to deployment of data science projects
- Apply advanced knowledge in programming, ETL, and modeling methods
- Partner with IT, business, and data management/engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure
- Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree required
- Masters degree highly preferred in data science, statistics, mathematics, business analytics or related field
- Experience in P&C insurance
- 7+ years of modeling and data science work experience required; 10+ years preferred
