About the role

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive application infrastructure architecture strategy and roadmaps that support enterprise modernization, AI and automation capabilities, and accelerate business delivery.
  • Manage and mature governance processes for application lifecycle management, including standards for architecture, security, and compliance.
  • Lead the transition from waterfall delivery models to SAFe architecture, embedding agile principles into infrastructure design and delivery.
  • Drive adoption of modern development practices (DevSecOps, CI/CD, SAFe) and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
  • Champion Architecture as Code to enable automated, version-controlled, and policy-driven infrastructure design.
  • Oversee application deployment frameworks (on-prem and multi-cloud), middleware platforms, and integration services.
  • Govern API management, service mesh, and microservices architectures for secure and scalable application ecosystems.
  • Define strategies and roadmaps for observability frameworks for proactive monitoring, performance optimization, and incident response.
  • Enable AI-driven automation for application performance tuning, predictive analytics, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor a strong team of architects, fostering innovation and accountability.
  • Partner with business leaders, product owners, and development teams to ensure infrastructure capabilities meet evolving business needs.
  • Communicate complex technical strategies in clear business terms to influence executive decision-making.

Requirements

  • Progressive experience in Information Technology with a strong focus on application infrastructure and architecture.
  • 4+ years in a formal architecture role (e.g., Enterprise Architect, Principal Architect) with demonstrated ability to define and implement enterprise-wide application strategies.
  • 3+ years in a leadership capacity, managing senior technical staff and driving large-scale modernization initiatives.
  • Proven track record of leading application infrastructure transformation programs across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Deep expertise in: Application Hosting & Middleware (Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, IBM MQ).
  • Integration & API Management (MuleSoft, service mesh, microservices).
  • CI/CD & DevOps frameworks (Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise, CloudBees, Backstage).
  • Observability and Monitoring (Dynatrace, Splunk, OTEL).
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, container security, HashiCorp Vault, and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical strategies into business outcomes, influencing executive decision-making.
  • Excellent executive communication skills and ability to build consensus across diverse stakeholders.
