About the role
- Partners with business teams to design and implement basic data and analytics-centric and value-added systems and solutions that enable business outcomes. Develops basic value-based analytics solutions for quality, business process functionality, or other strategic/data/analytic initiatives of limited complexity. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and establish analytics requirements. Creates detailed documentation and business plans that address stakeholder needs. Liaises between IT, Program Management and Business teams for analytics models and data solutions. Trusted business partner working with business leaders and cross-functional teams to identify key challenges and work on resolutions with the goal of improving organizational performance. Develops and implements basic enterprise-wide data integration strategies that utilize various data-marts and data warehouse applications to enhance reporting. Continuously works to improve data platforms, dashboards, and reports to meet emerging and changing business demands and guidelines. Consults with guidance on UAT, technical specifications, strategic planning, contract design, technical support, testing updates, and trainings. Manages data from single sources and uses project management skills to complete simple projects with coaching and guidance. Transmits data and proactively works to ensure data quality. Troubleshoots data issues and devises creative and effective ways to avoid or mitigate issues. Uses basic understanding of data elements, structures, standards typically involved in financial services transactions, reporting, and cloud-based data storage/sharing to adopt and apply standards in a way that satisfies and balances regulatory and compliance requirements with business needs. Job is performed in-person at a Farmers office or virtually at an approved alternative work location.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields preferred. 1-2 years of related work experience required. Experience in Financial Services industry preferred. Demonstrated technical skills in MS Excel/Access, programming (SQL), data visualization tools (PowerBI or Tableau) and statistical analysis. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to secure 'buy-in' and convince others regarding best approach. Goal oriented team player with a positive attitude. Excellent time management skills. Strong relationship building.
