About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define how marketing should use data to measure and optimize performance and personalization strategies
- Develop and implement data strategies aligned with marketing objectives and business goals
- Own governance of marketing data, including KPIs, metrics, naming conventions, and documentation
- Create and maintain marketing measurement plans
- Audit datasets to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and consolidation or improvement opportunities
- Partner with Analytics and Marketing teams to establish KPIs and success metrics
- Co-design analytical use cases including funnel attribution, content effectiveness, campaign performance, demand efficiency, and journey friction
- Support dashboards and reporting systems with accurate KPIs and strategic narratives
- Partner with IT and Data Engineering to maintain data quality, governance, and access to certified datasets
- Create and maintain technical documentation including data dictionaries and models
- Convert business requirements into technical requirements and define data collection and retrieval policies, procedures, and models
- Lead user acceptance testing for datasets, tools, dashboards, and integrations
- Prioritize ingestion and transformation work using a business-aligned roadmap
- Develop automated reporting solutions and data pipelines
- Evaluate emerging marketing technologies and data platforms and recommend adoption
- Provide training and guidance on analytics tools and best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 years of experience in marketing data strategy and analytics using marketing technology and analytics platforms
- Advanced skills in Tableau or Power BI
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms such as BigQuery, AWS, or Redshift
- Experience establishing marketing data quality standards and governance frameworks for complex, multi-source datasets
- Expertise as a cross-dataset subject matter expert with knowledge of multiple data sources, interrelationships, limitations, and use cases
- Ability to reconcile disparate data models and establish unified measurement standards
- Ability to communicate complex information to non-technical audiences
- Curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence
- Bachelor's degree required
- Ability to analyze campaign effectiveness, audience behavior, and segmentation
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills for senior and executive audiences
- Experience managing marketing datasets such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SEO, and Google Suite (GA4, Campaign Manager, Search Console)
- Experience with customer data platforms such as Segment, mParticle, or Adobe Experience Platform
- Familiarity with GDPR and CCPA data privacy regulations
